Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds (SWGB) is really a great game with addictive gameplay which was first released in 2001. Over many years, this game has had lots of mods with lots of new changes that make it still very attractive to the players. In this article today, we will introduce to you one of the most special Star wars galactic battlegrounds mods named Revisiting the Galaxy – Version 1.46. This mod is a part of a bigger project for SWGB and Clone Campaigns with the main goal is to make the game more challenging without unbalancing it. 1. Mod general information:

Overview of the change in this mod, we can realize some big point: First of all, some units that were already on the game code but can’t be played were now added with this mod, some of them are wookies and confederacy heavy strike mech, repeater trooper of every civilization, etc. The second point is that this mod added new impressive attributes to some units that didn’t quite effective on the game so now they possess strength and weakness, such as the grenade trooper. Finally, many units of a civilization, both military and workers, got some extraordinary attributes yet still kept its balance. Before you install: This mod is not compatible with the Expanding Fronts Mod, since it has thousands of unit editions, installing both of these mod at the same time will make the game crash.

2. Installing this Mod:

– First, you need to unzip the file.

– Second,  find and copy the folder ”Star Wars – Galactic Battlegrounds”, then paste it on C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Games  (for 64 bits operating system) or C:\Program Files\GOG Games folder. If it’s not on any of these locations try C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts for other operating system.

– Third, Select ”ok” for all of the files and folders rewriting. Another is to simply replace the original genie_x1 file inside the game folder Star Wars – Galactic Battlegrounds\Game\Data and then replace the language.dll as well.

3. Known Bugs:

– Vanilla AI doesn’t recruit several units such as heavy troopers, repeater troopers, jedi/sith knights and masters.

4. New Changes:

Jedi & Sith :- Generally tougher, a bit more expensive and a rank is created to research (padawan -> knight -> master) because they are considered as special units.
– First, you can train padawan/apprentice, knight and masters by your self. Research jedi/sith knight in order to train knights, and only having knights will give you permission to research the advanced jedi/sith upgrades that leads to the master upgrade. For masters training, you have to be on the 4th tech age, research jedi/sith meditation to open the master upgrade, then you can train masters.
– Differences between Jedi & Sith: Sith’s attack points are now increased but there is also decrease in HP and defense point

– Agility: Movement speed goes up to 15%.

– Stamina: Raises movement speed in 6%, recharging 50% time to recharge after successfully convert.
– Special defense: When fighting against other jedi/sith +5.
– Costs 120 nova
– Research time 65 seconds
– The knights can be unlocked
– Cost 250 food and 250 nova
– Research time 80 seconds
Meditation Master
– Group conversion, just one has to to recharge force (needed for the Master upgrade)
– Cost 200 food 300 nova and 250 carbon
– Training of masters is now available.
– Cost 300 food 600 nova and 200 carbon
